Web Developer (aka CSS Ninja)
Livemocha is an exciting Internet startup in Bellevue, WA, founded by a group of experienced and successful entrepreneurs to disrupt the language learning market. Fueled by rapid globalization and exploding Internet usage worldwide, Livemocha combines engaging online lessons with a social community of native speakers in the world’s largest online language learning destination.
As a web developer you will be responsible for front end development for various features of the LiveMocha web service.
This is a contract or permanent employment position.
Responsibilities
· Creating cross browser, compliant HTML/CSS based on mockups
· Conceptualize and innovate on new principles, concepts and technologies impacting LiveMocha’s customers.
Requirements
· 2+ years front end development experience
· Experience working on highly available Internet–based consumer websites.
· Experience working with front end web technologies (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Ajax).
· Experience with templating systems and programming a plus.
· Ability to work in a team environment, with a hands–on, proactive attitude
· Bachelors or Higher Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
· Ping pong, Paintball or Barbequing experience a definite plus
