Software Engineer at Earth Class Mail

Earth Class Mail takes the final form of non–digital information in people's lives — postal mail — and allows them to see and manage it online. We provide this service for individuals, giving them a postal address for life. We provide it for enterprises, replacing their mail center with an Internet experience. And our service scales to enabling virtual postal mail for an entire country's population.

We’re looking for passionate and creative engineers to join our web development team in Seattle. As part of a dynamic and energetic team, you’ll get an opportunity to turn around projects quickly and have an immediate impact on customers. You will be responsible for design and implementation of our next–generation user interface built on .Net 3.5 and JQuery, so attention to detail and expertise in client–side browser technologies is critical. Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to collaborate with designers and product management are also important for this role.

This is a full–time, equity position.

Requirements:

• BS or MS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of development work experience
• Solid OO design and programming skills in at least one of these languages: C#, Java, C++
• Proficient in modern client–side web technologies, including OO JavaScript, CSS, X/HTML, and AJAX
• Able to work in a web–standards based environment with unobtrusive JavaScript
• Comfortable working with SOA –based server architectures (preferably WCF and Net 3.5)
• Experience with client side frameworks like JQuery, Prototype, Dojo or Moo Tools preferred
