Isilon is looking for a top caliber Director of Operations. This position reports to the VP of Operations.
The Director of Operations is responsible for management of the supply chain and supply chain processes to meet Isilon's needs. This includes the following:
* Overall management of Electronic Manufacturing Suppliers (EMS) and other external suppliers to meet Isilon customer needs and quarterly revenue goals
* Management of New Product NPI integration and ramp at EMS partners
* Negotiation of contracts and supply agreements with EMS partners
* Timely resolution of operational issues between Isilon and its EMS partners
* Development and implementation of operations and administrative processes to insure streamlined interactions between Isilon and its EMS partners
* Development and implementation of operations and administrative processes and systems to insure streamlined interactions between Isilon and its EMS partners
* Management of inventory to meet turns goals
* Development and implementation of product and operational cost reduction programs
* Development and implementation of Supply Chain and Logistics strategies to support Isilon's growth, product, cost and regional customer needs
* Interaction with Isilon Sales and Finance organizations to insure operational alignment and EMS performance to meet corporate goals and customer needs
* Customer satisfaction through Operational performance
* – Successful cross–functional relationships with critical interfacing internal organizations (Finance, Sales, Engineering, Customer Support etc.)
Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate achievement in the following areas:
* Success in achieving performance goals; especially corporate revenue and margin goals
* P&L management; Balance Sheet management
* Knowledge of electronic manufacturing operations and production processes
*Ability to accomplish goals through external organizations; performance to metrics
*External relationship development at both an executive and working level
* Organization and communications skills; excellent cross–functional relationships; team player; excellent analytical skills
* Management and motivation of direct reports and external teams
* Self motivation for accomplishment of goals
*Ability to develop information packages to communicate both internally and externally; excellent analytical skills
* Minimum 10 years experience in Operations in roles with progressive levels of responsibility
* Prior experience in a Director level role engaged in the management of people and teams
* Prior experience working for a major tier 1 EMS provider or technology oriented product company
* Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication skills
* Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication skills; High level of competency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Applications
* Education: Mandatory of possessing a minimum BS degree – Technical or Business degree; MBA or other advanced degree is preferred
