Extra, extra, extra! The Seattle Startup Index for September 2009 is out and Pet Holdings (or, is it Cheezburger Network now?) still the #1 on the list after it took over Zillow last month. But there was a lot of movement on the Top 10.
Picnik now has took over BuddyTV to be the #3 ranked website and Survey Analytics jumped 7 positions to #6 on the list. It seems their QuestionPro product really got some traction last month.
On the Top 100, Smith & Tinker jumped 102 positions to #26 after the launch of their Nanovor game. Seattle 2.0 also did well because of TweepML.org moving 40 positions, and Gist moved 26 positions to #52.
This month the list has nothing less than an astounding 13 new startups. It’s the second best month since we began this list about 2.5 years ago. It would be interesting to go luck back to see if September is a good month because of the end of the summer.
The new startups on the list are: MangoSpring (PurpleTrail), CrowdEye, FigurePrints, Panopto, Tweets Lounge, Hotwall, OtherPage, Meteor Solutions, Transactor, Our Science Fair, Aurumis (ZoolahScribe), Greenvelope and TapTapWorks (resuMe Editor).
