If you've ever had coffee with me -- or spent any meaningful time with me -- you'll know that one of my favorite questions is "what's your favorite new start-up idea"?  I love asking the question to all people. I ask it of VCs, of serial entrepreneurs and of my family (including my 9 and 6 year old kids!).  I ask the question because I love to fantasize with people about products, markets and business models.  I love to think about cost models and customer acquisition and to hear other people opine on their fantasy businesses inspires me to think about modifying my ideas.  If you're an entrepreneur or aspiring to be one, I encourage you to get in the habit of sharing your ideas -- and collecting feedback on them .  This simple process of sharing an idea in converstation is usually amongst the first steps toward validating and refining your ideas. So don't be afraid to share your ideas -- to ask others about their ideas -- and to fantasize about how you can make the world a better place by solving some problem.
