The Seattle 2.0 service is now launching a Twitter Directory for the executives, entrepreneurs, investors and all the people around the high-tech startups in Seattle. This directory is unique in many ways, but primarily all accounts are verified and guaranteed to be part of the startup community.
We are also adding a “Score” to each account. Scores are computed based on the number of people from the startup community following that person, between other metrics. In other words, if an account has 200 followers and just 1 entrepreneur following it, it will have a lower score than an account that has 100 followers and 10 entrepreneurs following it.
We also allow you to see the accounts by sorting them in many different ways, from the number of followers, to the number of entrepreneurs following that account to the category associated with each account.
There are two very cool features on the directory: Find People and Follow Friday.
Find People is an easy way for you to check the people you are not following and be able to follow them in batch -- up to 25 at a time -- using your Twitter username and password.
Finally, Follow Friday is a fully automated system that will automatically chose 3 tweeps to do a blog post and a #FollowFriday. The system is implemented in a way that rotates through all accounts meeting certain criteria (more than 100 followers, more than 30 days old, etc.).
